In Romans 10:14, the Apostle Paul asks, “How are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard?” The deepest need of every individual on earth is the Good News – a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Without that, the only prospect is an eternity away from the presence of God.

Paul’s question is as relevant today as it was in the first century when he wrote his letter. How can people believe if they never have a chance to hear the Good News? According to the Center for the Study of Global Christianity at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, 86 percent of Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists in the world do not know a Christian! Yet, they desperately need the Gospel. How are we going to provide it for them?

One extremely effective method, which AMG International has been utilizing for more than 70 years, is media evangelism. This includes radio, newspaper and magazine ads, and today the Internet. Media can enter homes where Christians would never be welcome. And, God uses media to help meet the deepest spiritual need of every man and woman, produce plentiful fruit, change individual lives, grow the local church, and transform entire communities.

Each month, thousands of people learn of the Gospel message through AMG’s media ministries. And, many respond. I could share with you so many stories. One is from Turkey, a country where more than 99 percent of the population claims to be Muslim. One life that has been changed through our media partners is that of a man who came to know Jesus three years ago. At one point his family stood strongly against his faith. His father attacked him with an iron rod and broke his leg. He was locked in his room for a week and his leg became gangrenous. But, through it all, he has persevered. He is enjoying the Bible studies we provide and is growing in his faith. In addition, our coworkers meet with him almost weekly.

Two other amazing stories that come to my mind are from India where 80 percent of its 1.3 billion people are Hindus. In my last visit to the country, I met a young man who came to faith through one of our newspaper ads. He is now a pastor proclaiming the Word of God in several villages in the state of Andhra Pradesh. I also met an illiterate woman who also came to faith through a Gospel ad. She bought something in the market that was wrapped in newspaper, which is a common thing in India. Her attention was drawn to a cross that was printed in the newspaper and she became curious. She went to her neighbor and asked her to read what the newspaper said. That article was a Gospel ad! This illiterate lady wanted to know more and asked her neighbor to contact the address in the ad. As a result, she was put in touch with our coworkers, whom the Lord used to bring her to faith! Please know you play an important role in these stories because of your faithful partnership.

God is at work. And, media is entering homes that we cannot. Will you partner with us to make His message known to the lost? There are three billion people around the world who still need to be reached, and many of them will never meet a Christian. However, Gospel ads can enter many of their homes, which God can use to bring them to a saving knowledge of Himself. Together, we can make Him known in places that desperately need to hear the Good News.
