Sapto Hariadi
I was born into a Christian family and was taught about Christianity. But I did not truly believe in the Lord Jesus. My teenage years were very bad. After graduating from high school I worked in another area and one day there was a revival service in that city. I attended the event and for the first time I realized that I was a sinner and needed Jesus. That was when I was born again.
The vision that God gave was to reach out to the tribes. My wife and I had a longing to serve God. We were active in church ministry. but God's calling to us grew stronger and clearer to reach out to unbelievers among the unreached tribes. Finally in 2008. I resigned from church ministry and began serving unreached groups in the province of East Java and specifically, the Osing tribe. The Osing tribe are an UPG and it inhabits a sub-district in Banyuwangi. They are Muslim and also practice tribal religious syncretism. Most of the Osing people are farmers. They hold the Osing tribe's traditional traditions that distinguish them from the Banyuwangi population in general.
