Adbeel is an intelligent and creative young boy in Guatemala who loves playing with toy cars and playing soccer with his friends. Adbeel’s father abandoned the family when Adbeel was an infant and his mother washes clothes to make a small income. Adbeel and his mother live in a small home gifted to them by his aunt, but they lack many necessities. Their clothing is kept in a cardboard box, and they struggle to eat three meals every day. Will you come alongside Adbeel through sponsorship and introduce him to the life-changing power of the Gospel? By partnering with AMG, you can help meet Adbeel’s deepest physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and social needs. Thank you for walking hand in hand with Adbeel towards a brighter future in Christ.
Matochos Child Development Center
The Matochos Child Development Center shows God’s love to children in need. The center partners with a local church through an evangelical partner made up of church leaders. For five days a week, children eat delicious meals cooked by the center staff. In addition to receiving an education, children are taught from the Word of God. Every afternoon a devotion is given and two times a week Bible classes are taught to the children.
Guatemala is the most populated country in Central America. The majority religion is Christianity and is primarily Roman Catholic. Families in Guatemala suffer from many difficult circumstances such as drug use, alcoholism, physical violence, broken homes, and malnourishment. Often children are forced to begin working at an early age. Many families are extremely poor, live in small dilapidated homes and don’t make enough to provide for their physical needs.
