Adonias is a quiet little boy. He is living with his family in a small home built with block walls, tin roofing, and a cement floor. The home lacks appropriate furniture for the 8 people living in this small home. Adonias’ mother cooks all the family’s meals over firewood. His father and oldest brother work together in the fields trying to provide for the family but their income is not enough to meet their basic needs. Thank you for choosing to offer this young boy hope for the future and for touching his life for Christ. At the childcare center, he will receive nutritious food and a good education. He will learn God’s Word taught by a loving staff. May the Lord bless you for your kindness.

Filadelfia Child Development Center

The Filadelfia Child Development Center is an evangelical school that provides hope for children in the community. The center is part of the Centro American Evangelical Church. Everyday children receive a quality Christian education and nutritious meals. Throughout the week, children also hear solid Bible teaching and devotions led by the staff. The church also hosts events such as multiple holiday celebrations throughout the year in order to reach families for Christ.

Guatemala is the most populated country in Central America. The majority religion is Christianity and is primarily Roman Catholic. Families in Guatemala suffer from many difficult circumstances such as drug use, alcoholism, physical violence, broken homes, and malnourishment. Often children are forced to begin working at an early age. Many families are extremely poor, live in small dilapidated homes and don’t make enough to provide for their physical needs.
