Arpita is a sweet and kind girl. Her favorite subject at school is math. She wants to become a banker and travel the world when she grows up. Arpita’s family is very poor. They live in a mud house. She has one brother. Her father works in a garment factory and her mother is a homemaker. Her father’s salary is not enough to cover the family’s basic needs, therefore sometimes Arpita is not able to attend school because her tuition is not paid on time. The family suffers from lots of stress due to finances which causes tension and an unstable family environment. She is looking for a sponsor who will help her and her parents afford the bible training, education, and nutritious food that AMG provides.
Shadhonpur Child Development Center
The Shadonpour Child Development Center reaches children who are growing up in a rather hopeless environment. The center is open five days a week where children are discipled as followers of Christ. Children receive the school supplies and tutoring t they need to have a productive education. The center also partners with a local church where children attend Sunday School, church services and other ministry activities. Children also hear the Word of God being taught at the center.
Bangladesh is a country in South Asia. The vast majority of its inhabitants are Muslims with a large population of Hindus as well. Bangladesh is often struck by tornadoes, cyclones and much flooding. Many families are illiterate and are plagued by bad health, and have little access to high-quality healthcare. Parents often work in agriculture or textiles for meager incomes. Alcoholism is also prevalent among families.
