Many of us here in America have at least one copy of the Bible, if not more than one. You can buy a Bible practically anywhere, even order it on your phone and have it shipped to your house. But this is not the reality for most people in the world.

It is our hope at AMG International ministries that we would be able to give every person we serve a copy of God’s Word in their own language. Throughout the nearly 80 years of ministry, our faithful supporters like you have provided hundreds of thousands of Bibles in nearly 40 countries. But there is still such a desperate need for the Word of God. Owning a Bible is considered a luxury too far out of reach for many young Christians in the countries we serve, and they need one to deepen their relationship with the Lord.

Many children served by our ministries in Africa have never owned their own copy of God’s Word. You and I both know the impact of holding the Scriptures in our hands as we renew our minds daily with the Word, and we have a chance to give Bibles to thousands of children in Liberia, Ghana, and Togo, and 32 churches in Zimbabwe.

Dr. Ohene Kumi has been working with children for more than a decade, his ministry reaching thousands of students in hundreds of public schools through the teaching of a systematic Bible course, Vacation Bible School, and leadership training that lays a foundation for lifelong spiritual transformation. When students finish the Bible courses, Ohene’s goal is to give each one their own Bible, free of charge.

All Scripture is breathed
out by God and profitable
for teaching, for reproof,
for correction, and for
training in righteousness...
~ 2 Timothy 3:16 ESV

Lizzy Osei is one of the volunteer chaplains who came to know the Lord through Ohene’s program when she was in school. She now is leading church programs while also investing in future generations through the VBS school program. She says, “I am a living testimony and beneficiary of the VBS program, and I am so grateful to them. They [our donors] should not relent on their efforts to help children to know Christ more through the VBS program.”
