Brenzie Villegas Labansawan

Suggested Donation: $20.00

Brenzie is a sweet young boy and is the eldest of two children in his family. He is outspoken and joyful. His nutritional survey results show that he is second-degree malnourished. The family is living in a rundown rented house in a squatter’s area, which is not suitable for a family of four. The children in the area are exposed to neighbors who gamble, drink, and use drugs. The father is a driver, but his daily income is not enough to meet his family needs. There are also times that they can not buy milk and other needs for Brenzie and his younger sister. Brenzie’s mother takes care of the children at home. Brenzie loves to write simple letters and numbers. He also loves to draw and color. His mother is expecting her third child. Your sponsorship will help provide Brenzie with food, medical attention, and an education, while providing her with many opportunities to learn about God’s love for her. That will be a blessing not only for the Brenzie but for her family as well.

The Philippines is a country that consists of over 7,000 islands in Southeast Asia. It has many active volcanoes and its location and torrential rainfall means that several areas are prone to flooding, typhoons and cyclones. The majority of the population is Roman Catholic, but some people are superstitious and still practice animism. Poverty, alcoholism and widespread drug use plagues their communities. This has led to broken families and abandoned children. There are few consistent job opportunities as well, making it difficult for parents to provide for their families.
