Datti is a precious boy who enjoys learning about science. His favorite food is lemon rice. Datti has a sister. His parents both work as daily wage laborers, both earning very little money. The family lives in a very poor neighborhood in precarious conditions. Since their salary is not enough to provide for the family’s basic needs, Datti is not always able to attend school due to book fees, uniform fees, etc. He is looking for a sponsor who will help him and his parents afford the bible training, education and nutritious food that AMG provides.

Visakhapatnam Child Development Center

The Visakhapatnam Child Development Center shines the light of the Gospel in communities impacted by other religions. Twice a day children hear from God?s Word and have times of prayer. In addition, the staff provides children with nutritious meals, school uniforms and supplies, educational assistance, and medical treatment. Children are encouraged to attend Sunday School where they are taught the truth of Christianity. Once a week students are also taught Bible lessons at the center.

India is a large country in South Asia. The majority of the population follows Hinduism and Islam, but there are many Christians as well. Many residents are very poor and suffer from diseases such as HIV/AIDS and leprosy. Alcoholism is prevalent and children often come from broken families due to divorce. India sometimes experiences droughts and intense heat making the need for clean water very important. The caste system was technically abolished, but its remnants still affect many in society today.
