Dominic loves school. His favorite subject is music. He uses a broom to pretend that he is playing guitar. He dreams of being a musician someday. Unfortunately, Dominic’s father passed away in 2017, leaving him and his mother alone and with no income to pay for their daily expenses. His mom is now working as a pedler, but her salary is not enough to support their household. Dominic and his mom live in a small rented house made out of concrete block and has a dirt floor. Their neighborhood is very poor and dangerous. He doesn’t go out of the house a lot due to the presence of gangs. He is looking for a sponsor who will help him and his mother afford the Bible training, education and nutritious food AMG provides.

Guatemala is the most populated country in Central America. The majority religion is Christianity and is primarily Roman Catholic. Families in Guatemala suffer from many difficult circumstances such as drug use, alcoholism, physical violence, broken homes, and malnourishment. Often children are forced to begin working at an early age. Many families are extremely poor, live in small dilapidated homes and don’t make enough to provide for their physical needs.
