Esvin is a young boy who enjoys playing tag. He has one older brother, William. Esvin and William live with their aunt in a rural area of Guatemala because his mother moved to another country to work and his father left the family. Esvin’s mother is able to send some money for their support each month but it is not sufficient for all of their needs. Esvin is an average student, and his favorite class is math. He would like to study computer science when he is older, and he likes to play soccer. By sponsoring Esvin, you can help provide him with the opportunity to learn about God as his heavenly father who will never leave him. Thank you for providing Esvin with nutritious food, a good education, and access to the Gospel.
Matochos Child Development Center
The Matochos Child Development Center shows God’s love to children in need. The center partners with a local church through an evangelical partner made up of church leaders. For five days a week, children eat delicious meals cooked by the center staff. In addition to receiving an education, children are taught from the Word of God. Every afternoon a devotion is given and two times a week Bible classes are taught to the children.
Guatemala is the most populated country in Central America. The majority religion is Christianity and is primarily Roman Catholic. Families in Guatemala suffer from many difficult circumstances such as drug use, alcoholism, physical violence, broken homes, and malnourishment. Often children are forced to begin working at an early age. Many families are extremely poor, live in small dilapidated homes and don’t make enough to provide for their physical needs.
