Luis David is a boy in kindergarten. He has one brother and lives with his family in a rural farming community. His father works on the land, and his mother works as a maid. They work away from the village, and while they work Luis David’s grandmother looks after the children. The family lives in a house that has block walls, a tin roof, and a cement and dirt floor. Luis David likes to study, and his favorite subject is English. He likes to play, paint, and draw. Thank you for investing in the life of this precious child!

Guatemala is the most populated country in Central America. The majority religion is Christianity and is primarily Roman Catholic. Families in Guatemala suffer from many difficult circumstances such as drug use, alcoholism, physical violence, broken homes, and malnourishment. Often children are forced to begin working at an early age. Many families are extremely poor, live in small dilapidated homes and don’t make enough to provide for their physical needs.
