Somjet is a young boy living in Thailand. His favorite school subject is art and he would like to become a soldier one day. Somjet comes from a tribal family. He has one older sister. His father passed away and his mother works on a farm to provide for the family. Somjet wants to continue his education and is very grateful for an opportunity to have support. Your giving will provide Somjet with free meals, educational and biblical teaching. Thank you for having an impact on this family.

Living Stream Hostel

The Living Stream Hostel provides hope for children in need of help. Every child lives at the hostel, which provides them with practical conveniences like running water and electricity. Nutritious meals are served three times a day. Children also receive education, Christian teaching, life skills training, leadership training and mentorship by the staff. Every morning the day begins with a devotion so that the children can learn about Jesus Christ.

Thailand is a predominantly Buddhist country, and many people also believe in the spiritual realm. Children from poor families go to state-run schools where teaching is sub-standard. Their parents normally have little education and cannot be relied upon to help them.  School children seldom reach the ninth grade and most end up working in family farms. Since the people have very low or no education, they lack basic knowledge of life skills like personal hygiene, household management, family planning and balancing budgets.
