Werner Valentín Rusincoy Són

Werner is a young boy living in a rural part of Guatemala. He lives with his parents and five sisters. They live in a small concrete block home that has a thin tin roof. Werner’s father is a farmer, but he only works during planting and harvesting season. The irregularity in his employment makes it hard to continually meet the needs of the family. While Werner loves school and really enjoys it, he faces pressure from his father to quit school and work on the farms with him.
