St. Luke's Hospital

Located in the Biblical city of Thessalonica, Greece, AMG’s St. Luke’s Hospital is a 270-bed medical facility whose staff of 650 serves more than 2,000 patients each month. 90% of patients are physician referrals. The hospital hosts nearly 80 surgical procedures each day, and 80 to 100 heart surgeries each month. Having earned the reputation of being one of the best hospitals in the Balkan region, many people who might not otherwise hear the Gospel come to St. Luke’s Hospital and hear it for the first, and perhaps only, time in their lives. More people learn about the love of Christ there in a year through in-house publications, intercom devotionals, and the caring services of Christian staff than are visitors to all evangelical churches in Greece combined. Over the last two years, Greece has been in a severe financial crisis which has also affected St. Luke’s. Please pray that God will continue to provide for the financial needs of St. Luke’s Hospital and that many more will come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior in the middle of this crisis.
