PKC Child Development Center

The AMG PKC Child Development Center is on the island of Mindanao in the southern Philippines. There are 6,237 people in this district, and it is known as a slum area filled with a depressed people. Only one-fifth of the population has steady employment and over half are unemployed. The majority of the people make a living by sorting through trash and selling it for profit. The people live in houses near the ocean in a highly polluted area. Children are often malnourished and many have colds, coughs, and even skin diseases. AMG has stepped into this dark place to provide hope for the future. The AMG PKC Childcare Center was is now a safe haven for children in need. The children come to this center to receive nutrition, clean clothes, medical attention, and spiritual nourishment. AMG knows that the only hope for the people of Mindanao is found in the Gospel and is doing everything in its power to present the message of Christ to this unreached people.
