Several of the 37 countries where AMG International works to meet people’s deepest needs – spiritual and physical – are considered high-risk areas. And yet, God has blessed the efforts of our national leaders serving in those areas, and the recent Kingdom-building results have been incredible. By God’s grace, 407 unbelievers accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord in 2018 through the involvement of our ministries in Pakistan and Bangladesh. In addition, six new churches were planted in Pakistan, and enrollment at AMG’s Grace Bible College increased. Likewise, AMG’s area school that serves under privileged and orphaned children grew from 70 to 200 students. Please pray for God’s provision of these children in need.
AMG also trained up seven pastors in Pakistan last year. One of those is Pastor Perviez Masih was raised in a small, poor, unchurched family. He accepted Jesus during an evangelistic service held in a small village by AMG national leaders. Perviez soon became passionate about serving Christ, but he felt ill equipped. He lacked a Bible education, and longed to gain a sound understanding of Scripture. Because of the support of faithful AMG financial partners, Perviez was able to attend Grace Bible College . God used the teaching he received to equip him with sound Bible knowledge that he could share with others.
Pastor Masih is thankful for the seminary teachers at Grace, and for how they invested in his life and spiritual development. He is thankful for God’s mercy and grace in allowing him to know Christ, learn His Word, and serve others for the sake of the Kingdom. Perviez is passionately serving Christ and has thus far planted two churches in Gujarnawala, Pakistan. Please pray for his safety and for God to use him lightly in reaching the lost for Christ.
Good also used AMG’s national leaders to aid survivors of several bombings and terrorists attacks that targeted Pakistani churches. Many believers have been killed by the attacks and others have been left with untreated medical needs such as various shrapnel wounds. As you think of it, please left up our brothers and sisters in prayer and ask God to protect the persecuted Church.
AMG currently has 30 national leaders serving in Pakistan and seven in Bangladesh. These dedicated workers are engaged in 127 ministries found throughout the two countries. And you play a big part in that. As we get more sponsors, we can increase those numbers and thus serve even more people.
