Just before midnight on Easter Sunday, an EF-3 tornado hit Chattanooga, TN and the surrounding areas sending more than 20 people to the hospital and taking the lives of two. The associated storms, hail, and high winds caused significant damage beyond the tornado’s initial impact, and thousands in the area are still without power. Emergency personnel are still assessing much of the damage while working to reunite families with loved ones.

We thank God and praise Him for protecting our staff during the storms. They and their families are all safe, and none suffered any damage. Some are still without electricity in their homes, please pray they will stay safe during this time.

National Weather Service meteorologist Anthony Cavallucci says that preliminary information shows the tornado was approximately nine miles long and 1,500 yards wide. More than 150 buildings, residential, and commercial, have been damaged, many homes completely destroyed.
