Rohit is a young boy living in Bangladesh who is benefitting from the local AMG child and youth development program. He comes from a Christian family, and it is important to note that Rohit and many other Christians in Bangladesh have been denied government assistance during the pandemic. Here he shares his deep gratitude for the help he and his family have received this year.
Dear AMG Sponsor,
Greetings! I hope this letter finds you safe and well. The year 2020 will be one for the history books all over the world. This year, the whole world stopped because of the coronavirus pandemic. In Bangladesh, many people were quarantined at home for eight months, with no option to work from home. Almost 90 percent of the people in my town are day laborers. They have no savings to fall back on, and many people have no idea if they will eat the next day. On top of losing work, our community was affected by a cyclone that caused massive flooding. My family is struggling to make ends meet and, as a community, we are not capable of helping each other. Even during “normal” life, most people here already live in constant fear of starvation, but the challenges brought on by the coronavirus have greatly increased those fears.
However, just when we had started losing all hope, God provided for us through AMG International. We have been blessed by food packages and sanitation kits when we were denied government aid due to our faith. God sees our struggle, and He has sent AMG to help us in these desperate times. We are overwhelmingly grateful to the Lord and AMG International for the help we have received during this difficult time. Thank you for selflessly giving, and I pray the Lord blesses you abundantly!
