Adolfo is a studious and artistic child who loves playing with toy cars and playing soccer. He lives with his loving parents in Guatemala. His father is a farmer, and his mother takes care of the children at home. His parents are unable to pay for traditional schooling for Adolfo and are hoping that the center will provide him with the education that he needs. His grandparents help the family financially when they can. Adolfo lives in a dangerous area with alcohol and drug problems. His parents are responsible and have instilled good values in their child but are unable to properly care for him. Through your giving, you can help this struggling family. At the child development center, Adolfo will receive nutritious meals, an education, and biblical teaching. He will have a safe and consistent place to learn and will be surrounded by a loving staff who will help him navigate the difficulties of growing up in a dangerous area. Thank you for making an impact in this child’s life.

Matochos Child Development Center

The Matochos Child Development Center shows God’s love to children in need. The center partners with a local church through an evangelical partner made up of church leaders. For five days a week, children eat delicious meals cooked by the center staff. In addition to receiving an education, children are taught from the Word of God. Every afternoon a devotion is given and two times a week Bible classes are taught to the children.

Guatemala is the most populated country in Central America. The majority religion is Christianity and is primarily Roman Catholic. Families in Guatemala suffer from many difficult circumstances such as drug use, alcoholism, physical violence, broken homes, and malnourishment. Often children are forced to begin working at an early age. Many families are extremely poor, live in small dilapidated homes and don’t make enough to provide for their physical needs.
