Ailyn is a kind girl in Guatemala. She is a good student; her favorite class is science, and she says that she would like to become a doctor one day. She likes to play with her friends. Ailyn has one brother and one sister. Her family lives in a house that has block walls, a cement roof and a cement floor. Ailyn’s mother works in customer service at a local bank and her father travels each day to work as a receptionist in a hospital. Ailyn’s brother and sister have medical problems, and with the additional expenses her parents have a difficult time making ends meet. They also need for Ailyn to have a safe place to be while they work. Will you come alongside Ailyn as her sponsor and help meet her deepest physical, social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual needs? Together we can transform this family in Jesus’ name.

Filadelfia Child Development Center
The Filadelfia Child Development Center is an evangelical school that provides hope for children in the community. The center is part of the Centro American Evangelical Church. Everyday children receive a quality Christian education and nutritious meals. Throughout the week, children also hear solid Bible teaching and devotions led by the staff. The church also hosts events such as multiple holiday celebrations throughout the year in order to reach families for Christ.
Guatemala is the most populated country in Central America. The majority religion is Christianity and is primarily Roman Catholic. Families in Guatemala suffer from many difficult circumstances such as drug use, alcoholism, physical violence, broken homes, and malnourishment. Often children are forced to begin working at an early age. Many families are extremely poor, live in small dilapidated homes and don’t make enough to provide for their physical needs.
