The people live in houses near the ocean in a highly polluted area. Children are often malnourished and many have colds, coughs, and even skin diseases. AMG has stepped into this dark place to provide hope for the future. The AMG PKC Childcare Center was is now a safe haven for children in need. The children come to this center to receive nutrition, clean clothes, medical attention, and spiritual nourishment. AMG knows that the only hope for the people of Mindanao is found in the Gospel and is doing everything in its power to present the message of Christ to this unreached people.

The Philippines is a country that consists of over 7,000 islands in Southeast Asia. It has many active volcanoes and its location and torrential rainfall means that several areas are prone to flooding, typhoons and cyclones. The majority of the population is Roman Catholic, but some people are superstitious and still practice animism. Poverty, alcoholism and widespread drug use plagues their communities. This has led to broken families and abandoned children. There are few consistent job opportunities as well, making it difficult for parents to provide for their families.
