Good Shepherd Childcare Center

The Good Shepherd Child Development Center partners with a local church to reach children for Christ. Children are taught the Word of God from an early age. The center staff provide meals each week along with tutoring. Children also receive uniforms and supplies to enroll in school. Children with illnesses or ongoing health problems are given medical care. The staff also teach the Word of God and spend time in prayer with the children every week.

Peru is a culturally diverse country in South America. The majority of the population profess to be Christian, with the majority being Roman Catholic. Terrorism and social violence can be common in certain areas. Generally speaking, there is a lack of stable jobs and it is often difficult to find consistent work. Many fathers abandon their families, leaving them in challenging circumstances. Alcoholism, drug use, and gang violence are also prevalent in many communities.
