Buddala is a sweet young girl living in India. Her father has irregular work as a laborer. Her mother stays at home to take care of the family, including Budalla’s grandparents who also depend on her father’s income. With his small and inconsistent wages, they could not afford to provide proper amenities to their children. They are currently living in a thatched house in an impoverished area. Her parents admitted Buddala to the AMG Residential School so that she would have opportunities they could not provide for her. Budalla is currently learning English and Bible and loves playing a local kid’s game called lemon and spoon. Your sponsorship of Buddala will greatly impact her physical, emotional and spiritual life.

India is a large country in South Asia. The majority of the population follows Hinduism and Islam, but there are many Christians as well. Many residents are very poor and suffer from diseases such as HIV/AIDS and leprosy. Alcoholism is prevalent and children often come from broken families due to divorce. India sometimes experiences droughts and intense heat making the need for clean water very important. The caste system was technically abolished, but its remnants still affect many in society today.
