Dasari is a young girl living near the coast of East India. She lives with her father and mother. Her father has a hunchback and has had a hard time securing long-term work. For now, he is a helper at a battery shop and her mother is a housemaid. Their income is very low and it’s impossible for them to provide the basic necessities for Dasari. Because of their low income, they are unable to send Dasari to school and therefore a sponsorship would allow her to attend AMG’s boarding school. Their hopes and dreams for their daughter are for her to become an educated woman who is able to provide for herself. Dasari loves to study English and her favorite activities include drawing and playing Kho-Kho. Your sponsorship would mean so much to Dasari and her parents.

Visakhapatnam Child Development Center

The Visakhapatnam Child Development Center shines the light of the Gospel in communities impacted by other religions. Twice a day children hear from God?s Word and have times of prayer. In addition, the staff provides children with nutritious meals, school uniforms and supplies, educational assistance, and medical treatment. Children are encouraged to attend Sunday School where they are taught the truth of Christianity. Once a week students are also taught Bible lessons at the center.

India is a large country in South Asia. The majority of the population follows Hinduism and Islam, but there are many Christians as well. Many residents are very poor and suffer from diseases such as HIV/AIDS and leprosy. Alcoholism is prevalent and children often come from broken families due to divorce. India sometimes experiences droughts and intense heat making the need for clean water very important. The caste system was technically abolished, but its remnants still affect many in society today.
