Dr. David Chigurupati is a retired medical doctor from Andhra Pradesh, India. While working at St. Clare’s Hospital in New York City, he was introduced to AMG’s ministry by then president Dr. Spiros Zodhiates, who had come to St. Clare’s to visit an AMG ministry friend. During that meeting, Dr. Zodhiates learned of the great needs and opportunities in India, and invited Dr. Chigurupati to work with him to establish a ministry there. AMG ministries were eventually established in Andhra Pradesh, India, in 1968 under the leadership of the late Dr. S. John David. Dr. Chigurupati lives in Branchburg, New Jersey and remains active in evangelistic and conference ministry with Telugu emigrants from his homeland in India. He is past president of the National Association of Asian Indian Christians in the USA Inc. He is the elder-in-charge of the Telugu Christian Fellowship of New Jersey,established in 1979. He and his colleagues also conduct Christian Family Conferences across the US and Canada for Telugu people and other Indian Christians.
