Dulce is a sweet little girl who comes from a poor family in Guatemala. She lives with her parents and her younger brother Gerber. She loves school and is a good student. She is also very artistic and loves to paint. Her favorite sport is soccer and she dreams of being a nurse or a teacher. Due to a loan to fix their house, the family is in a bad financial situation. Although her parents work very hard, they are unable to provide for their children. Her parents are frequently away from the house looking for work, and Dulce and her brother are left with various family members which leaves them feeling abandoned. To make matters worse, the area in which her family lives is very dangerous due to addicts and gang influence. Your sponsorship of Dulce would mean so much to her and her family, giving hope for a brighter future in Christ.

Filadelfia Child Development Center

The Filadelfia Child Development Center is an evangelical school that provides hope for children in the community. The center is part of the Centro American Evangelical Church. Everyday children receive a quality Christian education and nutritious meals. Throughout the week, children also hear solid Bible teaching and devotions led by the staff. The church also hosts events such as multiple holiday celebrations throughout the year in order to reach families for Christ.

Guatemala is the most populated country in Central America. The majority religion is Christianity and is primarily Roman Catholic. Families in Guatemala suffer from many difficult circumstances such as drug use, alcoholism, physical violence, broken homes, and malnourishment. Often children are forced to begin working at an early age. Many families are extremely poor, live in small dilapidated homes and don’t make enough to provide for their physical needs.
