Elayka is a sweet young girl in the Philippines. She is one of six children in the care of her grandparents while her father works out of town and her mother leaves to run errands. Elayka and one of her siblings were found wandering the street looking for food. Their house is one small room made of light materials without electricity and far from a source of water. Elayka and her siblings were left alone often and were taken to Hope of Hope for their safety and welfare. Elayka is sweet and loving and enjoys listening to stories and reading picture books. She dreams of having a nice house with a swing set when she grows up. By sponsoring Elayka you can help provide her with nutritious food, a good education, medical care, and teaching from the Word of God. Thank you for investing in Elayka’s life!

Home of Hope Orphanage

The Home of Hope Orphanage provides a safe place for children to grow physically and spiritually. Children are encouraged to attend a local church and participate in Sunday School and worship services. The center staff are there to love, mentor, feed, and disciple these precious children. Educational assistance and medical care is readily available. Above all, children hear the Word of God taught multiple times a week through Bible studies and devotions led by center staff. The children in the orphanage are thriving.

The Philippines is a country that consists of over 7,000 islands in Southeast Asia. It has many active volcanoes and its location and torrential rainfall means that several areas are prone to flooding, typhoons and cyclones. The majority of the population is Roman Catholic, but some people are superstitious and still practice animism. Poverty, alcoholism and widespread drug use plagues their communities. This has led to broken families and abandoned children. There are few consistent job opportunities as well, making it difficult for parents to provide for their families.
