Elda is a smart girl living with her parents in Guatemala. Her father used to be a fireman but in 2019 he crashed the ambulance he was driving, and a two-month-old baby died in the accident. He was fired from his job and had to pay huge fines. He now works as a farmer and is unable to provide for his family. Their home is built out of cinderblocks, tin, and cement. Elda is in good health and loves making art and playing basketball. Her favorite kind of art is painting. She also loves reading her Bible and dreams of being a teacher. By sponsoring Elda, you will provide her with sound biblical teaching, schooling, and nutritious meals. This would make a life-changing impact on her life, and would be a huge blessing to her family. Thank you for coming alongside this child in need.

Guatemala is the most populated country in Central America. The majority religion is Christianity and is primarily Roman Catholic. Families in Guatemala suffer from many difficult circumstances such as drug use, alcoholism, physical violence, broken homes, and malnourishment. Often children are forced to begin working at an early age. Many families are extremely poor, live in small dilapidated homes and don’t make enough to provide for their physical needs.
