Erickson is a charming little boy. He lives with his family in a very poor neighborhood in Guatemala. His home is built with adobe walls, tin roofing and a dirt floor. There are three people living in this one-room home which lacks appropriate furniture. All of the family’s meals are cooked over firewood. Erickson’s father works long, hard hours in the fields trying to provide all of his family’s needs; however, his income is low, so he is not always able to provide for Erickson’s needs. Thank you for investing in Erickson’s life. Your sponsorship will provide him with the food, medical care, clothing, education and the spiritual guidance he needs to grow up healthy, strong and with a knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Guatemala is the most populated country in Central America. The majority religion is Christianity and is primarily Roman Catholic. Families in Guatemala suffer from many difficult circumstances such as drug use, alcoholism, physical violence, broken homes, and malnourishment. Often children are forced to begin working at an early age. Many families are extremely poor, live in small dilapidated homes and don’t make enough to provide for their physical needs.
