Gihon is a social, cheerful young boy who loves playing soccer. When he grows up he wants to become a police officer. Gihon’s father works in construction but his income is very low, so he is unable to provide for all of Gihon’s needs, including his educational needs. By sponsoring Gihon, you will give him the opportunity to attend the Supit Urang Child Development Center where he will receive a free education, medical care, food, clothing, and teaching from the Word of God. Thank you for coming alongside Gihon in this time of need and for giving his family the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel.
Supit Urang Child Development Center
The Supit Urang Child Development Center is ministering to local children in Jesus’ name. At the center, children receive educational assistance, nutritious meals, and medical treatment when needed. The staff guide children in their physical and spiritual growth. Every morning they have a time of devotions and prayer where the students are encouraged to get involved. Staff also have Bible studies once a week to teach children about Jesus Christ.
Indonesia is a predominately Muslim country in Southeast Asia. Many work as farmers, but due to the uncertain climate it’s difficult for them to maintain their crops. Other common occupations include construction workers, freelancers, and house cleaners. Many of the families are poor and do not have the funds to pay for medical treatment. Multiple families have to live together in the same house a lot of the time. Many parents lack a formal education and get married young. Domestic violence is also prominent and husbands are prone to leave their families.
