Heidy is a sweet little girl who lives with her parents and little sister. The family is happy and in good health. Heidy walks for about five minutes to attend the student center. Her father works as a farmer but struggles to provide for the family. Heidy and her family are living in a house built with block walls, tin roofing and a dirt floor. They have electricity and use water from a local well. God bless you and thank you very much.

Yalu Nim Jay Childcare Center
The Yalu Nim Jay Child Development Center began in response to a community affected by malnourishment. Children eat lunch each day as prepared by the staff. They also receive a general education as well as values formation and life skills training. The staff mentor and tutor children who need additional care. Lastly, children grow as disciples of Christ as the staff lead devotions, teach Bible classes, and lead in praise and worship.
Guatemala is the most populated country in Central America. The majority religion is Christianity and is primarily Roman Catholic. Families in Guatemala suffer from many difficult circumstances such as drug use, alcoholism, physical violence, broken homes, and malnourishment. Often children are forced to begin working at an early age. Many families are extremely poor, live in small dilapidated homes and don’t make enough to provide for their physical needs.
