Yessenia is a vivacious little girl in Guatemala. She comes from a large family of 12 siblings and has two brothers and three sisters that still live in the family home. She likes to play with her friends and enjoys learning in school. Yessenia’s family lives in a small rural village. Yessenia’s father works hard in the fields to provide for them, but his income does not sufficiently meet all of their needs. Your sponsorship will greatly bless Yessenia and her family and provide Yessenia with nutritious food, medical care, education, and Biblical teaching. Thank you for investing in Yessenia’s future!
Filadelfia Child Development Center
The Filadelfia Child Development Center is an evangelical school that provides hope for children in the community. The center is part of the Centro American Evangelical Church. Everyday children receive a quality Christian education and nutritious meals. Throughout the week, children also hear solid Bible teaching and devotions led by the staff. The church also hosts events such as multiple holiday celebrations throughout the year in order to reach families for Christ.
Guatemala is the most populated country in Central America. The majority religion is Christianity and is primarily Roman Catholic. Families in Guatemala suffer from many difficult circumstances such as drug use, alcoholism, physical violence, broken homes, and malnourishment. Often children are forced to begin working at an early age. Many families are extremely poor, live in small dilapidated homes and don’t make enough to provide for their physical needs.
