Yesu Dasu is a young boy in India. He comes from a Christian family and his parents are illiterate. They did not have an opportunity for school due to their poverty, and want more for their son. Although they work very hard as daily wage laborers, their income is not enough to provide for the family. Many times they lack nutritious food and basic necessities. As Yesu’s sponsor you are giving him the opportunity to attend the childcare center where he will receive nutritious meals, medical care, and a good education. Most importantly he will experience and know Christ’s love for him.

AMG Children’s Home

Staff at the AMG Children?s Home teach the truth of God?s Word to children who are surrounded by other religious influences. Children receive nutritious meals, educational assistance, school uniforms, health care, and school supplies. Every morning and evening, the staff share devotions and have times of prayer. The staff also encourages the children to attend Sunday School where they learn about Jesus Christ. Additional Bible teaching is also provided once a week to students at the center.

India is a large country in South Asia. The majority of the population follows Hinduism and Islam, but there are many Christians as well. Many residents are very poor and suffer from diseases such as HIV/AIDS and leprosy. Alcoholism is prevalent and children often come from broken families due to divorce. India sometimes experiences droughts and intense heat making the need for clean water very important. The caste system was technically abolished, but its remnants still affect many in society today.
