Verbena Rays of Light School

The Verbena Rays of Light School is located in a challenging zone of Guatemala City. The campus also serves as the central headquarters of AMG Guatemala’s operations throughout the country as well as a child protection office. Verbena functions as a school, offering classes from pre-school to graduation, ministering to hundreds of students from a neighborhood impacted by poverty, gang activity, drugs, alcoholism, and high crime. Over 50 teachers and staff provide education to students from kindergarten through 12th grade. In addition to a standard education, students also participate in daily devotions and Bible, computer, and English classes. Students have access to meals and low cost medical and dental services on campus. The expansive facilities of Verbena provide children with a safe place to play and offer many resources to parents as well.
