Kestia Noelsaint is the Nurse Supervisor at the AMG Bethesda Medical Center in Grand-Bassin, Haiti and has worked there for more than a decade. She is hands-on, working with patients while also organizing the workflow, ensuring the nurses on her staff are equipped to serve their patients with excellence. She also manages the daily morning devotions held in the clinic, which are open to the community regardless of medical treatment.
In her time there, she has seen several patients come to know the Lord through care at the clinic as they strive to meet people’s medical and spiritual needs in this rural area. The clinic is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the doctors and nurses have cared for dozens of patients who were unable to pay their bills. Still, because of the generous support through faithful AMG partners, these people received the best care in the region for free while also hearing the gospel. The clinic staff also gave community members masks and education on COVID-19 and best healthcare practices to stay healthy.
Kestia receives monthly support from AMG sponsors who have provided a way for her to care for her family while caring for her community through the clinic. She says she wouldn’t be able to work at the clinic without this support because her salary alone wouldn’t help cover all of their essential needs.
She says, “I praise God for this organization that helps the communities physically and spiritually. May God continue to bless all of you richly for his glory.”
